Recreation Therapy

Recreation therapy uses a wide range of activity based interventions to address the emotional, cognitive, physical and social needs of an individual.

Bridges of Indiana employs a talented team of Recreation Therapists. Our team focuses their personalized care sessions on improving a person’s physical movement abilities which may promote higher self-esteem, improved fine & gross motor skills, cognitive skills and overall health and wellness. Recreation Therapy is provided to children and adults through our community-based delivery model.

Our board certified Recreation Therapists build confidence, restore or enhance motor skills or mobility and develop coping skills through one on one activities.  As a part of the individual’s support team,  our Rrecreation Therapists are able to share their awareness and understanding of all of the individual’s developmental domains. Recreation Therapists will work with the individual and families and caregivers to achieve optimal outcomes in real life situations.
